Meet Your Acting Coach:
Brandon Ray Olive
With over 50 TV and film credits, Brandon Ray Olive has been acting professionally for over 20 years. Hailing from Shreveport, Louisiana, he moved to LA when he was 21 and has since racked up notable credits such as NCIS, CSI:NY, Yellowstone, and has collaborated alongside Steven Soderbergh (Mosaic and Logan Lucky), Tyler Perry (Single Moms Club), and many more notable talent.
In addition to acting, Brandon has directed and produced projects for Comedy Central & Warner Bros and is deeply involved in the nurturing, mentoring, and coaching of other creatives | storytellers | actors. He currently resides in Utah where he continues to explore, hone his craft, and live life (and all of its questions) with his three beautiful and mischievously-amazing children.

Collaborative: Two or more parties successfully and positively working together on a goal or shared project. Organized joint effort. Opposed to competitive.

Acting: The art or practice of using imaginary stimuli to temporarily assume the duties and perform services of another.

What to Expect
It’s my belief that the conception of a creative partnership, such as this, extends beyond our capacity to understand (or reason) at this time. Before we can reflect and share, we must first explore and experience.
I encourage you to find comfort in this, to seek a deeper understanding and appreciation of the process itself. Accept it, embrace it, relish it, cherish it. The value is IN the process. The story IS the journey.
Our arrangement is a mutually beneficial exchange of time and energy. You are investing in me, and I in you. I am fully committed to bringing forth your highest potential of interpretation. Therefore, I expect the same commitment of you, to yourself.

Group Classes: Meet once a week on either Tuesday or Thursday from 4:30pm-7:30pm. All group acting classes are in-person in Salt Lake City, Utah. Group classes are composed of clients who’ve been acting professionally for years to those who have never stepped foot in an acting class before, as well as everyone in-between.
Private Ongoing Coaching: Are you not in Utah but still want to be regularly coached by Brandon? No problem! Ongoing private coaching is available. Email collaborativeacting@gmail.com to schedule your initial private coaching session. First hour is free with a two hour minimum. Afterwards, if you’re interested in committing to ongoing private coaching, email collaborativeacting@gmail.com to schedule a weekly session with Brandon.
Private Audition Coaching: Need help preparing a specific audition? Email collaborativeacting@gmail.com to schedule your initial private coaching session. After scheduling, you’ll receive an email with additional information to begin preparing for your private session.

All of the above! Classes intentionally have a broad mix of experience levels to mirror the on-set experience. Mixing experience levels facilitates collaboration, as we all have something to learn from one another.
We’ve had clients who have acted professionally for years and others who have never stepped foot in acting class before. This is a safe, professional space cultivated for creativity and growth. We operate with the utmost respect, care, and investment in each and every client, no matter the background.
No one is too experienced or inexperienced for the Collaborative Acting experience.

Dropping in is generally discouraged due to the workflow of our monthly committed clients. However, we understand some people have extenuating circumstances. Because of that we allow drop-in’s for $75 | class with a 48 hour notice.

If, for any reason, you miss a coaching and properly communicated your absence ahead of time:
You are welcome to one make-up coaching per month.
Make-up coaching’s are one-on-one, with Brandon, and must be scheduled within 48hrs of your absence.
Please call or email to make up a class. -
If, for any reason, coaching is canceled or Brandon is unable to attend:
A make-up coaching session WILL be rescheduled, for all clients, at Brandon’s discretion and communicated within 48hrs of said cancellation.
Brandon also reserves the right to book a Guest Coach or Guest Director to lead the session. -
